Visiting Tasmania Australia

Visiting Tasmania Australia

I have family all over the country and the world. My Nan, Auntie and Uncle live in Tasmania and I had a quick trip down this weekend to visit the family. Tasmania is a beautiful place to visit and if you haven't been I can't recommend it enough. It's great for a quick break away or a more extended adventure.

These photographs are from my visit to Deloraine and Chudleigh. For me no trip is complete without a visit to the Mole Creek Pub for dinner - great pub food, great atmosphere and we were even given a free bottle of sparkling wine last night! My Uncle is getting a bit of a reputation around town as he turned up with 6 women in tow! Everyone was wondering what was so special about him. 😉

Sit back and enjoy!

Welcome to Deloraine, This is the view from Lion's Lookout. It is a beautiful quaint little town. It's worth a walk around, there is a great park for the kids to play in down by the river with an old train that has been converted into play equipment.

Welcome to my home away from home. A nice short driveway to the farm house (3/4 mile long!)

Not a bad view to step out onto! This is the view from the front door of the farm. They were certainly putting the beautiful weather on for us!

Gorgeous Jemima is the pet sheep on my family's farm. She has been with them for at least 8 years. This sweetheart loves nothing more than a piece of bread!

Beautiful restoration/reconstruction of a farm house from originally built over 120 years ago. I have loved watching it appear from a ruin.

Meet Turner the farm dog. He is a wannabe Sheep dog. He does his best but he's just not quite cut out for it!

Meg just LOVES getting her chin scratched. She was so blissed out in this photo. Love her to bits!

Lovely view halfway up the property. One of a few dams on the property and yet another stunning view!

Is the grass really greener on the other side? Stunning view of the lush paddocks.
